We had a small leak over our garage and called Joe the Roofer because we heard great things and loved how they fixed up their house/office on Rt 9. They came out the next day after the call and not only fixed the leak, at the price they quoted, but realized we had other issues with our roof. They gave us a couple options and let us decide what was best for us. No pressure or aggressive sales tactic. We got a partial roof replacement, and they did a great job. Quick, wonderful work, cleaned up perfectly, and kept in touch the whole time to make sure we were happy with the whole process. 10/10 I cannot recommend them enough!

Alex came over and discussed an estimate with me. He was very professional and very clear. I agreed and signed the contract. The estimate was very fair, but I was also informed that once the old roof material was removed there could be an added expense if there had to be plywood replacement. In my case, I did have to replace some plywood. Even so, the end price was very reasonable. I had other companies come in and give me estimates. Joe the Roofer was the best. They showed up on the specified day by 7 AM and were done by 6:30 PM. The crew was amazing and the work was very, very good. I am highly satisfied with the whole experience. They cleaned every speck of debris that was on my lawn and in my backyard. As a matter of fact, my backyard looked better once they left. They completed my roof, which included roof removal and replacement, soffit removal and replacement, and gutter removal and replacement. I am very happy with their workmanship, which is critical towards protecting my roof. Finding an honest roofer is a daunting task. I got 4 quotes, which differed greatly with regard to scope of work. One contractor quoted a cost which was double my final cost because it included unnecessary work, another quoted a few thousand dollars lower just to get the job, and another hardly did any inspection before providing me with a quote. I felt more comfortable choosing Joe The Roofer because 1. They are local. 2. They always answer the phone. 3. They have more than 100 reviews, most of which are 5 stars. 4. The entire team was amazing to work with. One great thing is that they have an actual office, with real humans that always answer the phone. They are professional, hard working, and easy to reach. My work started with another spring of a moisture leak in our flat roof over our kitchen. I called several companies, but Joe was the only one that had people to take my call every single time. Joe came out and assessed the leak and gave me a clear diagnosis of how and why it kept happening (year after year after year). It started with just doing that but would mean having to put in a new window and redo the siding around that one part of the house.
After years of saying we were going to finally get the siding done correctly, this was our chance. We changed from just doing that roof to doing the entire outside of the house.
Best decision ever. And there was NO hard sell. They were there to solve a problem, it was up to me to ask for more work to be done.
They did the flat roof as an emergency repair (once the spring rains finally stopped) then put us in line for the rest of the house.
The roof was done in one day. The rest of the house took about 2 weeks. The crew was here every single morning no later than 8 AM (some days 7 AM) and they worked until 6 or 7 PM every night. Marco, the crew chief on my job, was amazing at doing precision work, leading his team, and being an excellent problem solver. He pointed out details that I would've missed.
We asked for some kind of garbage surround to conceal our trash cans; Marco built that from scratch and it's amazing. He cut the porch railings so that there were no exposed holes in the pre-drilled railings. It's the details that made the work so amazing.
What a glow-up this old home got (and yeah, the house is 100 years old).
I believe we got a fair price for the amount of work done and the quality of the work was also a factor.

Two of them tried solutions that did not work. Only one of them bothered to actually go into the attic and look to see where the water stains and sunlight (which shouldn’t be seen in any attic) were. From the first contact with the office staff, I knew we made the right call, finally. Joe came out for an estimate and clambered into our almost inaccessible bedroom attic space and then explained what he thought was going on along with a fair estimate of the cost. We scheduled the work for a week later. His roofers were here on time and proceeded to spend hours on that roof in 99-degree weather isolating the leak and repairing it. Communication was excellent that day, and as we gave out bottles of iced water, the roofers discussed what they were doing and what they had found. The repair was made, shingles were then replaced which perfectly match the originals, and, evidently, the problem is solved. We just tested the ceiling with a water meter and the drywall is perfectly dry after a torrential rainstorm. Thank you, Joe the Roofer! We couldn’t be happier.

Problems were encountered around the chimney, and Shawn, the project manager, took the time to move an exhaust vent so a “cricket” could be built to divert the rainwater. They came out to do the estimate within a couple of days, had it to us that night, offered us financing, and the whole process start to finish for our new roof took no more than 10 days.
